Overseas Learning Journey 2024: Johore-Malacca, Malaysia
Our school recently organized an enriching two-day, one-night educational expedition to Malaysia, with two separate groups experiencing the journey. A total of 127 students and 20 staff members participated in this carefully planned adventure through Johore and Malacca City.
The itinerary included visits to:
Historic landmarks in Malacca City
UK Farm in Kluang, Johor, where students engaged in hands-on farming activities
Partner schools, where we received warm hospitality from our Malaysian hosts
Visiting SMK Padang Temu on Trip 1, 29 October 2024
Visiting Historical Landmarks in Malacca on Trip 2, 4 November 2024
Throughout the journey, students developed essential life skills including:
Cross-cultural communication
Teamwork
Problem-solving abilities
International perspective
The experience fostered strong bonds among peers and created lasting memories for all participants. This educational expedition, months in the planning, proved to be an invaluable opportunity for both personal growth and cultural understanding.
